Royal Oak 2-2 HHU Devs
HHU devs won their first point of the season at last after a hard fought draw in tough conditions against a persistent Royal Oak side.
We found ourselves 2-0 down after 50 minutes after a total performance from Royal Oak saw them dominate the first half, not less because of a penalty scored due to a Walmsley foul, GK Ryan Wilson unfortunate not to save it, as he did get good hands on it.
Paul Cole made a trademark run down the left flank 2 minutes later and duly crossed the ball into the box for Connor Mcann to arrive and head us back into the game.
After a long slog, we drew level when a ball in from Ethan Fossett found Renzo at the far post who touched the ball over the line.
HHU had chances to win the game with shots missed from Ethan and Renzo, and a chipped ball over a cb by George Goddard found Paul near post but he couldn’t quite get the touch to finish.
All in all the draw was a fair result given it was very much a game of two halves and we are happy with our first Dev point of the season, and no longer bottom of the league.
See you next week when HHU First take on Beccles A away at Beef Meadow.
